About Eventarc
We wanted a ticketing system that was easy to use but powerful enough to run an event from 2 to 20,000 people. A registration service that helped event planners save time and increase revenue for their event.
So we built Eventarc from the ground up. Based in Melbourne Australia, we are growing a sustainable, global company that plans to be the best way to manage online event registrations. We hope you join us.
Meet the Eventarc Team
SCOTT HANDSAKER
FOUNDER
Since graduating from University in 1999, Scott has shaved off his dreadlocks, run for parliament (lost), obtained a black belt in Taekwondo, gone sky diving, built websites, managed IT help desks in Singapore, setup an Asia Pacific call center in Kuala Lumpur, traveled the world and avoided consuming meat and fish.
In 2004 he co-founded a web consulting company, whose clients include Sensis, Members Equity Bank, Trading Post, Melbourne Museum, IMAX Melbourne, RSPCA and Medicins Sans Frontieres.
Scott is the proud father of Otis and the lucky partner of Alice. He hopes you will like Eventarc enough to tell all your friends about it.
ANDREW EDWARDS
FOUNDER
Andrew is a co-founder of Eventarc and has been in the web industry since 1995.
Originally specializing in multimedia, Andrew now concentrates more on server side technologies with a bias towards anything open source.
Outside of work Andrew enjoys baseball, music and playing with his 2 year old son.
Most of Andrew’s time in the office is spent petitioning colleagues to un-ban Tom Waits from the stereo.
CC HUA
UI DESIGNER AND DEVELOPER
CC has worked as a designer for over 10 years in both the print and web mediums. She returned to university in 2006 and recently completed a science degree, majoring in Astronomy.
She also sporadically plays in her band goyouhuskies!, who received a breakthrough hit in the European country of Andorra when the first track from their self titled EP was featured in the advertising campaign from a locally produced artificial sweetener. Spurred on from this exposure, the band plans to re-record a version of the track in Catalan for a local release, and have been quoted in a local radio interview as seeing the country as a “home away from home”.
CC enjoys traveling, the company of her two dogs and general belligerence towards Michael Bay films.
TOMMY WILLIAMS
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Tommy emigrated from the USA to Australia in 1985. His mother wanted him to be a computer programmer, but he would have none of it as he was clearly meant to be a rock star. In 1997 Tommy accepted a position as a programmer in the Web Development Unit at The University of QLD. Since then Tommy has worked for a Boston internet-boom start-up, returned to the University of QLD as a webmaster for the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, and walked away from the World Wide Web for a time programming for the mail house HPA.
In late 2007 he came to his senses, moved to Melbourne and joined a web consulting company that were working on what would become Eventarc.
Tommy is the always surprised and amazed father of Bram and grateful husband of Leonie. Tommy is also in a few punk/hardcore bands and has played shows with most of the best bands in the genre. He still totally reckons the rock star thing isn’t off the table.
