Million Purrs launches – fundraising for cats

Last week we soft launched a project we have been working away on for about 2 months.  A brand new concept in online fund raising, we think it might just be purrrrrrrrrfect!

Million Purrs is a fantastic new fund raising initiative for the RSPCA which is completely driven by the Trickytix fund raising and events platfform.  In their own words:

Our feline friends shouldn’t miss out on all the fun, so the RSPCA has created Million Purrs an online virtual event designed with your cat in mind!

It’s free to register and create your own virtual cat, then your family and friends can donate to the RSPCA by purchasing virtual gifts for your virtual cat. The more funds your cat raises, the more they can help the RSPCA, all without leaving the house or getting dirty paws!

Cat avatars, virtual gifts, Facebook integration, top ten sponsor lists, and virtual worlds all combine to create what we hope will be a roaring success for the RSPCA..  The Courier Mail called it “second life for cats“, while Priscilla thinks it is the “cleverest online fundraising campaign I’ve seen this year“.
