Looking to hire a freelance writer/researcher for a short term gig

That’s right – we are currently on the lookout for a freelance writer and researcher to assist us with a small job.  Could this be you?

What exactly will the person be required to do?

We are looking to develop some content for our website www.eventarc.com.  The content will be focused around specific topics, and will be made up of a collection of articles, how to guides, checklists, videos, primers, etc etc.  Pretty much all of the content will be around the best way to run events and fundraise.  We need someone to:

  • Write the articles
  • Put together the checklists
  • Interview subject matter experts for their thoughts and ideas
  • Research best practice techniques and identify useful resources on the web
  • Find and include related material on the web, including videos, brochures, blog posts, etc etc

What are the minimum requirements?

We don’t have any firm opinion of what qualifications you need for this position, because you don’t really need any.  You need to be able to write well, but we don’t care if you don’t have an agency or copywriting background.  The content you will be producing is for real people to get real advice from, so you don’t have to be experienced with selling either.

If you had a working knowledge of SEO that would be useful, but not essential.  We can teach.

We are flexible about when you work as well.  It can be full time or part time, spread out over a few weeks or a few months.  Whatever works for you.

How do you apply?

Email scott@eventarc.com to register your interest.  The candidate can be based anywhere in the world, we really don’t mind.
